BIND continues to grow as an international community dedicated to advancing understanding and treatment of dystrophinopathies and are pleased to share several important updates and upcoming activities that reflect our collective progress and collaboration.
Formation of the BIND Association
The BIND Association has now been formally established, marking an important milestone for our community. A membership form will soon be available for existing BIND institutions wishing to register their interest in joining and contributing to this new collaborative initiative. Our first General Assembly will take place online on Tuesday, 18 November 2025 and will provide an opportunity to review and discuss the Association’s bylaws and board structures. Looking ahead, we hope to extend the invitation to join the BIND Association to more members. We are also planning a webinar (date to be confirmed) for companies interested in the clinical and research findings of dystrophinopathies and in 2026, we hope to hold the first in-person BIND Association meeting, offering an exciting opportunity for members to meet, share insights, and strengthen scientific collaboration.
World Muscle Society (WMS) Congress, Vienna
The upcoming WMS conference offers valuable opportunities for scientific exchange. Although there will not be a dedicated BIND meeting this year, we encourage members to connect at poster sessions, share insights, and explore new collaborations.
BIND and Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy
BIND will participate in the upcoming Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy (PPMD) event in Baltimore on 23–24 October 2025. BIND speakers will include:

BIND Clinical In-Person Meeting
BIND is pleased to announce plans for a clinical face-to-face meeting, which will be held at Leiden University Medical Center (LUMC) in early 2026. This event will provide an important opportunity for clinicians and researchers to come together and discuss current and emerging approaches in the study and management of dystrophinopathies.
The meeting will include presentations, interactive discussions, and dedicated time for networking and collaboration among members of the BIND community.
