Launch of the BIND Association
Following the success of the BIND Project, funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme, consortium members have established the BIND Association, a new non-profit association dedicated to advancing research into brain involvement in dystrophinopathies.
The Association has been formed to continue and expand the collaborative work initiated through the BIND project, which brought together international experts to improve understanding of the neurological, cognitive, and behavioural aspects of dystrophinopathies.
The BIND Association is committed to:
- Advancing the understanding of brain involvement in dystrophinopathies
- Improving the characterisation and diagnosis of neurological and cognitive comorbidities
- Promoting the development of improved treatment approaches
- Supporting multidisciplinary and international collaboration across research and clinical care
By creating a long-term collaborative framework, the Association aims to sustain progress in this important and evolving field of research, while helping to improve care and outcomes for affected individuals and families.
We welcome researchers, clinicians, allied healthcare professionals, patient organisations, and other stakeholders interested in joining and contributing to the work of the Association.
